“Tête-à-Tête” between Atlantic Forum Young Disruptors and Amb. Daniel Fried Ian Brzezinski

Washington D.C., 26 April 2022. Members of Atlantic Forum ‘Young Disruptors’ delegation to the 2022 COE Director’s Conference in Norfolk, Virginia, were able to sit down at Atlantic Council prior to making the trip to Norfolk. At Atlantic Council they had the opportunity to sit down with Amb Daniel Friend and Ian Brzezinski to discuss current affairs and get ‘prepped’ on the latest view from the US on Putin’s War in Ukraine, the state of the transatlantic relation and the developments leading up to the coming Madrid Summit. Equipped with knowledge and an equal amount of homework / reading and podcast suggestions, the four disruptors made their way to Norfolk in the evening.

The Young Disruptors group consists of: John Jacobs (NLD), Lisa Homel (USA), Marc Tilley (UK) and Hannah Christensen (CAN). Following participation of Atlantic Forum Director John Jacobs to the COE Marketplace in 2019 (with support of the NLD Mission to NATO) the Atlantic Forum was invited to send ‘Young Disruptors’ to Vicenza in 2021. The participation of young professionals offering alternative views was well received and lead to invitations to join the Directors Conference in Norfolk Virginia on 26, 27 and 28 of April and the 2022 edition of the COE Marketplace on 9, 10 and 11 of May.
