Nordic Security Conference - Climate Change: New Security Challenges and Implications for the Arctic

Atlantic Forum is teaming up with YATA Norway to promote their annual NorSec Conference.

The 15th edition of NorSec will take place in Oslo from March 21st to the 22nd 2020. The conference will focus on the security challenges caused by climate change. Central topics will be changes in the energy market, resource depletion, extreme weather, climate refugees, an increased conflict level and multilateral cooperation under pressure.

In addition to this general perspective, we will also offer a more specific one, focusing on the Arctic’s strategic position for the Nordic countries. During the weekend, participants will have the opportunity to learn and interact with leading experts in the field of security policy. It will also be a great occasion to build relations with likeminded people with different backgrounds and nationalities.

You will be invited to stay from the 20th of March, and there will be a social gathering for all international participants Friday evening. To participate, apply before 10.01.2020

To apply please fill out the following form: https://yata.no/archives/8541. If accepted, YATA Norway will provide selected meals, accommodation in Oslo and in addition assist your travel expenses with up to €65.

For many years, NorSec has been a platform for learning, discussion and new experiences between students, cadets and young professionals. We strongly encourage everyone with a genuine interest for security and foreign policy issues to attend.
